What are Mica Tapes?

Mica Tapes are tapes that consist of phlogopite mica paper integrated with high-quality silicon resin and reinforced with glass cloth. It is a flexible tape that could fit into various shapes and it is an high temperature insulation tape. This Insulation Tape have a high-thermal resistance as well as good fire resistance as the tapes are non-flammable and do not contain asbestos and do not produce toxic gases. Apart from being non-flammable, Mica tapes have excellent tensile strength and anti-shock features.    Mica Tapes have very good resistance to electrical breakdown and corona discharge. It is designed for high-temperature resistance insulation of inter-cells thermal insulation in battery packs, telecommunication systems, electric vehicles and other energy storage systems. It can also be used in high-temperature industrial equipment like heating rings, ovens, heaters, thermal protection, thermal-electric insulation etc.

• Mica tapes are tapes that have good resistance to electrical breakdown and any sort of corona discharge.
• It has excellent tensile strength and is anti-shock in nature providing good insulation for electrical cables and coils.
• Mica tapes have been designed to provide good-quality Inter-cell thermal insulation in battery packs, multi-storey buildings, Power stations, Industry plants, Subways, computer centres, aerospace units, telecommunication centres, ships and military facilities.
• It consists of  phlogopite mica paper integrated with high-quality silicone resin which is reinforced with glass cloth tape.
• Non-flammable in nature, Mica tapes have High thermal resistance and good fire resistance.
• They also do not contain asbestos, does not produce toxic gases. 
• Mica tapes should be stored in a cool and dry place and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided. To obtain the best performance, the product should be used within 12 months from the manufacturing date.
