What is PPE Seam Sealing Heat-Activated Tape?

Adhesive Specialities manufactures PPE Seam Sealing Heat Activated Tape using a multilayer polyethylene (PE) film and a special EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) adhesive that is formulated to be antibacterial and heat-activated.

This tape is designed for use in medical protective clothing, PPE suits, barrier garments, and similar fabrics. The heat activation allows the adhesive to fuse over the seam stitches when applied under heat and pressure by a heat-sealing machine, creating a continuous seal that blocks fluid, pathogens, and contaminants.
